A Boy's Life - Step x Step

Happy Friday Everyone !
Welcome to my step x step featuring the awesomely fabulous A Boy's Life by Echo Park.
I can't think of a better photo to use, than one of my Jacob celebrating his sporting achievements...

For this LO you will need the following materials, available from Scraploot:

EP A Boy's Life Cardstock Paper - Green (Paper A)
EP A Boy's Life Pattern Paper - Imagination (Paper B)
EP A Boy's Life Pattern Paper - Play Time (Paper C)
EP A Boy's Life Alpha Stickers
EP A Boy's Life Element Stickers
ASS Kraft Cardstock
SI Magic Mount
RG Distress Ink - Black
Other: Typo Ruler Ribbon, String, Toothpicks and A Lil' Somethin' Kite Embellie

Step 1: Use the kraft cardstock for the base of the LO. Trim about 1cm from 2 sides of Paper A, ink the edges and then adhere to the kraft cardstock.

Step 2: Use another piece of kraft cardstock and mount your photo, Paper B and Paper C, and an assortment of element stickers, so there is a border of a few mm. Ink all of the edges. Paper B measures approx 10.5cm x 22cm and Paper C measures approx 5cm x 26cm.

Step 3: Adhere Paper B to Paper A, approx 4.5cm up from the bottom of the page, and approx 3cm in from the LHS of the page.

Step 4: Adhere Paper C to Paper B, approx 1cm up from the bottom of Paper B, and  approx 1.5cm in from the LHS of the page.

Step 5: Adhere ribbon (which measures approx 1.5cm x 28 cm across), approx 0.5cm up from the bottom of Paper C. It should have about the same overlap at both ends.

Step 6: Adhere photo over the top of the pattern papers and ribbon. The photo should sit approx 7cm up from the bottom of the page, and approx 4cm in from the LHS of the page.

Step 7: Create a cluster of mounted embellishments (element and alpha stickers) in the bottom RH corner of the photo. Use Magic Mount to add further dimension. Make simple flags using the flag element stickers, kraft cardstock and toothpicks!

Step 8: Set the scene for the LO by adding the kite, string for the kite tail, and a few flat bottom clouds. There are a few ways you can adhere string to a LO. For this LO I have lightly sketched in pencil where I want the string to go, and then placed the glue along my sketched line.

Step 9: Add journaling, any other embellies you wish to use to make this LO your own, and a small mounted title at the bottom of the page, adhered to Paper B. It should be approx 7cm in from the RHS of the page.

Step 10: Have fun, and have a wonderful weekend!

Until next time - Happy Scrapping!
